Coconut Sunrise Smoothie

Dear Martha,

An Australian has started a smoothie bar near my home, called The Naked Juice Bar.

He makes the most delicious smoothies and fruit juices out of fresh fruit and vanilla yoghurt. My absolute favorite is Coconut Sunrise, with coconut milk, banana, orange juice and pineapple. Yummie!

It didn’t seem too hard to make at home, so I tried last Saturday. Boy did I succeed or what!

Unfortunately, I painted my nails at the same time mixing the smoothie.

Smoothie – 1 Pink nails – 0.

This is the recipe I came up with (makes 2 large glasses):

Coconut Sunrise

You’ll need

400 ml coconut milk (a can)
567 g pineapple (a can)
Two oranges, the juice
A banana

1. Pour the coconut milk, the pineapple and pineapple juice into a blender. Mix.
2. Squeeze out the juice from the oranges, and pour into the blender. Cut the banana to small pieces and throw in too. Mix it real good!
3. Pour into two large glasses, and top with a straw. Enjoy!
